Quickly find answers to the most common questions about the Kakebo app.

  • To transfer all Kakebo app data to a new phone you can use the built-in backup and restore feature.

    On the old phone

    1. Open Kakebo
    2. Go to Settings → Data backup
    3. Create a backup
    4. Save the file to a cloud service such as Google Drive or Dropbox

    On the new phone

    1. Install Kakebo from the Google Play Store using the same Google account used for the purchase
    2. Open the app
    3. In some cases, to recognize the Premium license, it may be necessary to close and reopen the app
    4. Go to Settings → Data restore
    5. Select the previously created backup file

    After the restore process all your data will automatically be available on the new phone.

    Note: backup and restore features require the Premium version of Kakebo.

  • Yes. The Premium version of Kakebo is linked to your Google account and can also be used on a new device.

    To activate Premium on the new phone:

    1. Open the Google Play Store app on the new device
    2. Make sure you are signed in with the same Google account used to purchase the Premium version
    3. Search for Kakebo and install it from the Google Play Store
    4. Open the app

    The Premium license will normally be recognized automatically.

    In some cases you may need to close and reopen the app so the license can be updated correctly.

  • Kakebo normally stores data directly on the Android device.

    To create a safety copy you can use the built-in backup feature.

    Backup files can be saved:

    1. to cloud services such as Google Drive or Dropbox
    2. to the device internal storage
    3. to external storage or other compatible storage devices

    Saving backups to a cloud service is recommended because it allows you to easily recover your data in case of phone replacement, loss or device reset.

    To create a backup open Kakebo and go to Settings → Data backup.

    Note: backup and restore features are available in the Premium version of Kakebo.
